Most people don’t know that you have a choice when it comes to dental hygiene care. California allows Registered Dental Hygienists in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) to own and operate independent dental hygiene practices in dental health shortage areas such as Lake County. An RDHAP has specialized training in practicing independently, outside of traditional dental offices. It is a special training taken at a Dental school that requires a rigorous state board exam to receive this advanced license. If an RDHAP sees anything suspicious needing additional treatment, the RDHAP will refer a patient out to a dentist or a specialist. Seeing an RDHAP is a convenient way to receive necessary oral health care that is also billable to most major insurance companies.

Raised more than half of my life in Lake County, I was excited at the opportunity to serve my community in the dental field. I have made strong connections with patients and dentists in Lake, Mendocino, and Sonoma counties for 25 years.
I started as a sterilization tech in 1996 and quickly became motivated to learn more. I received my license as a Registered Dental Assistant in 2001, and my license as an RDA in Expanded Functions in 2008. While raising my son and going to school, I graduated with Highest Honors from one of the top Dental Hygiene Schools in California, Santa Rosa Junior College. In 2017, I returned to school and graduated from The University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry with a specialty in Oral Health for the complex patient.
I started my practice with special needs in mind as a way to give back to my community. I am bilingual and helping our large Hispanic community has been my goal.
My focus is to provide personalized care for people that cannot afford to have routine dental preventative care, have dental anxiety, or simply in need of a cleaning. I am diligent in my pursuit to stay current in my profession and in providing the best dental hygiene care.
I married a local guy from Kelseyville. Together we raised our son who was very active in sports around Lake County.
On my time off, I like to lounge on my couch with a good book and with my 97 pound Rottweiler, Porscha on my lap.
