FAQ

Do you take insurance?

Yes, I take Medi-Cal (Partnership), I am a Delta Dental Premier, Cigna, and Guardian/ Premier Access provider. I will gladly bill your insurance but ultimately it is your responsibility for payment. For your convenience, I accept visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, and checks.

What is a RDHAP?

An RDHAP is a hygienist that may perform allowable services like cleanings, sealants, fluoride, and whitening for patients. However, 18 months after the initial visit, the patient must have a written letter from a Dentist, Physician, or Surgeon to continue treatment with the RDHAP.

What if I don’t have a dentist?

Not to worry! I have 25 years of dental experience and I know most dentists in Lake, Mendocino, and Sonoma counties. I would be happy to refer you to an office that would take great care of you.

Do you do dental exams too?

I do evaluations.  I am a dentist’s second set of eyes. I am trained to know the differences in a healthy tooth structure and a decayed tooth. If there is a questionable tooth, I would refer you to your dentist or to one of my preferred dental referrals to exam and diagnose your tooth.

Do you numb my teeth?

No Needles!  We offer “numbing” gel to make you comfortable during your cleanings.

Do you treat children?

Yes, we see children of all ages. We offer oral hygiene instructions and nutritional counseling for the child and the guardians. I also offer the “happy visits” in which the child gets to sit in the chair with the parent and they pretend to clean the parent’s teeth. This allows them to feel more comfortable during their actual visit.
